Regional activism

Through FILM Suffolk we have sought to bring value and integrity to the process of grassroots filmmaking in the East of England. It’s an ongoing struggle against vested interests and profiteers but we continue to have a massive impact in terms of engagement with regional professionals, enthusiastic amateurs and early-stage practitioners. Educational practice

All three directors of FILM Suffolk have experience in the field of education. Having lectured in digital media at Colchester Institute for 10 years, Matthew has recently relocated to Norwich and joined the team at Norwich University of the Arts as their Animation and Audio technician.

Charitable work

As a former trustee of the Inside Out Community I have sought to engage positively with the issue of long-term mental health and well being in the East of England, running creative workshops and volunteering time and ideas to help this wonderful charity flourish. I have also supported Unscene Suffolk, offering my skills and knowledge free of charge to support the promotion and development of drama workshops for visually impaired people living in Ipswich and the surrounding areas .
